Incorporated in 1949, Needle Industries (India) Private Limited, is
today a prime global source of hand sewing needles, knitting pins
and accessories, snap fasteners, hooks and eyes, safety pins, and other
allied products. |
| The company started with the manufacture of the simple,
but precise, gramophone needle-which is still manufactured against
special orders. |
| As the company grew other products were added to the
range. In the late 1950's hand sewing needles. In the 1960's snap
fasteners, hooks and eyes, knitting pins, jeans buttons and four part
fasteners. In the 1970's safety pins and plastic products. In the 1990's
plastic and pearl head pins and, in 2001, glass headed pins. Apart from
these products the company has for thirty five years manufactured an
extensive range of surgical suture needles. |
| The last few years have seen the addition of a range of
haberdashery sourced from other manufacturers and packaged in-house. |
| Over the past fifty years the company has built a
worldwide reputation for quality and service, and now markets its
products in approximately sixty countries on all six continents. |
